Backendless isn’t a Serverless platform. For one thing there is no direct access to input/output/error streams, and Backendless is designed to have server-side software running continuously in the background which isn’t allowed on Serverless platforms. Real examples of Serverless platforms are OpenFaaS, Fn Project, and Apache OpenWhisk.
